In context, what part of that do you disagree with? Would you rather have pretty much nothing if you were laid off or have some kind of safety net?

I was calling CJ's bluff.

Countries are falling apart around the world due to what was advocated. Hell, you give me 80% of my current salary indefinitely and include health insurance, I'll take unemployment right now. Do you realize what you're for? Read it again.....

If I were to be unemployed, I'd much prefer 100% of my last wage with health insurance for a year, dropping to 80% indefinately, instead of less than 20% with the option of paying $500 a month for health insurance for 6 months.

Welfare isn't no different than white collar crime . Both are driven by human instincts. When crime pays well, it grows; when welfare pays well, it grows.

I'll say it again, you give me 80% of my salary indefinitely starting tomorrow, and include health insurance for free, I'll take it.

Wouldn't you?
