<there were bats too... i'm sure they were vampire bats.
but i couldn't even see my pants and i know i had some on.
i could feel them.>

Seriously, when A20 and I were in the Whispering Cave outside of Colorado Springs we were deep in the mine, when the moron guide decided to turn out his light and we could see phucking nothing. He went on to say how the eye muscles can atrophy if you are in total darkness for more than two weeks - when miners got trapped, this would happen and they would lose their eyesight. Had I been able to see him, I would have ripped his light out of his hand. Anyway, when the tour finally surfaced at the entry building (which was positioned on the side of a deep canyon, probably just under 1000 ft with a an observation porch on the canyon side), I sprinted to the railing and hung over it free from the phucking cave. A20 on the other hand was glued to the wall of the building and was inching her way to the entrance. She loves caves, I enjoy heights...and that's why we are Valentines for all these years.

p.s. I think the bats would have put me over the edge
