Wow, what a ski slope CS made the last few days.
No, I don't think it's dead, but I'd put it out of the way for a while. Given the present situation in the tech I'd rather load on a beaten horse than ride a high flyer that could break a leg.

Recall the media hype on COMS went it dropped to 22. (early '97)
It rose to 56ish (that was time time to sell)

Recall ATML when it dropped to 22. (early '97)
It rose to 37, 37, 37. (that was the time to sell)

I now have CS 16 -14ish and ATML 21, 19ish.

I would rather have CS than COMS today, why?

If I wait long enough CS will make me happy, COMS has too many followers today, (most of which don't remember the short drop from 32 to 22 in early '97) while CS has few, therefore CS is the safer play.

Obviously this is only my opinion and I could be wrong
