OFF TOPIC.... Browser condiderations; I keep Netscape 3.0 and Explorer 3.0 running at the same time. I always browse SI with Netscape as I have found it faster loading the pages. I just now ran a test loading consecutive identical posts

Results:

Netscape 3.0 ... Explorer 3.0

5 sec ................. 10 sec
4 sec ................. 6 sec
4 sec ................. 9 sec
3 sec ................. 5 sec
4 sec ................. 4 sec
7 sec ................. 4 sec
4 sec ................. 5 sec
3 sec ................. 4 sec
3 sec ................. 3 sec
4 sec ................. 4 sec
4 sec ................. 8 sec

Netscape is clearly faster on my Aptiva P90. My Compaq P200 also seems to run much faster on SI using Netscape with a different ISP (can't test it now as the harddrive failed after 4 months!) The speed difference is not a recent development as I noticed it a long time ago. If you read a lot of posts as I do the speed difference makes a big difference.

Also, if I post with Explorer and use bold or italics and then I use the edit post option the bold or italics disappears! This is a big hassle if you use this option a lot. This does not happen when I use Netscape.

Also, I tested the little box for advancing posts and it works in Netscape but not Explorer

For surfing SI I always use Netscape as it is a BIG time saver
