2/15/13 Contest Update Question of the week: As gold plunges and PCYC rockets higher, how long will it take for the price of a PCYC share to eclipse that of an ounce of gold? At Friday’s close, helped by INCY’s jump (held by a dozen Contest portfolios), the Contest median was up 9.33% YTD (vs. up 7.35% YTD a week ago). The Nasdaq Biotech Index was up 6.24% (vs. up 6.96% YTD a week ago), while the Nasdaq Composite Index finished the week up 5.71% YTD (vs. up 5.77% YTD a week ago). An INCY holder, FILO’s portfolio, up 26.13% YTD, grabbed the Contest lead. MOPGCW’s portfolio, up 25.78% YTD, dropped to second place and RKRW’s portfolio, up 21.43% YTD, slipped to third place. At Friday's close, 32 of the 39 Contest portfolios were in the black with 24 of the 39 beating the NBI. Below is the Top Ten list.
