I wish you luck but i wouldn't touch it. it is only one "spitzer" away from a really bad day. $100k to an investigator outside the US and HLF could turn into a real turd quickly. If I were Ackman i wouldn't just say it only takes one investigator from any country they do business in, I would put up a little cash and make it happen. Since HLF is so popular a product in the latino community it would be an easy and cheap alternative to waiting for the SEC or FTC. What do you think would happen to HLF stock price if the Mexican authorities filed a complaint or started a criminal investigation? A little money goes a long way in Latin America.
