That's interesting... phones are the ones pulling the current so a charger producing 5A wouldn't do any good (or harm to the phone for that matter) as the phone would just pull the current it needs (be it 1A or 2A) versus the charger pushing the current it has (5A in that case).

So that would mean that the Galaxy Note 2 is designed to pull 2A. Is the charger that comes in the box really just a 0.5A one? I find hard to believe that Samsung would have included a 0.5A charger if the phone is capable of charging of a 2A one.
