Thanks. So the output of the charger is a 2A one. So rereading your previous post, the 0.5A mentioned must have been when you try to charge it from your laptop USB port.

In the case of Qualcomm, the quick charge 1.0 means that Qualcomm 1A capable charge phones that were taking 4hrs to charge will do it 2.5-3hrs and 2A capable charge phones will do it in 1.2-1.5hrs. If you use a 0.5A charger Qualcomm quick charge 1.0 will cut the charging time from 8hrs down to about 5hrs. Either way expect the Nexus 4, Galaxy S3, Lumia 920, etc... to see improved charging times by 30-40%.
