Apple Maps is actually quite bad in Birmingham, AL, at least for the outlying parts of that metro area where I recently moved. Many times it attempts to direct me downtown, a good 20 minutes away, and I've totally given up on asking Siri for the nearest instance of a business type or franchise with many locations.
