Since when does the government have to approve a share purchase? Icahn only has to file to say he bought them, why sould the government have to approve it? There are no anti-trust issues here. Please explain if I am wrong but methinks thou are uninformed.

And Icahn claims his average is 36, not exactly a huge gain so far and he was out of the money until he annouced his "purchase," which wasn't really a purchase. it was an option play. With Loeb getting out, Icahn may be left holding the bag. I would bet Icahn sold some puts to pay for his option position as well so if HLF tanks, Icahn might lose a bit more than lunch money.

Icahn has acted like a dickhead from the beginning, all over a $4 million bill he agreed to pay and didn't want to. I think the 2 catalysts that got Icahn involved are his love for Loeb and his hatred for Ackman......emotional trades usually end up badly and I don't see this being no exception.

Hey Rog, still getting in tomorrow? or having second thoughts?
