I don't think we can consider the News, Movies and Content coming out today is as positive....
I'm not so sure. I agree that there is so much News, Movies and Content coming out today that a significant portion of it is pure junk, crap, or insert whatever adjective you feel supplies the proper passionate expression. Similar to literature and other segments of The Arts, the volume is unreal. There are untold gems by the thousands out there waiting to be individually discovered. So many wonderful, innovative and unique options that are being offered to us, if we can only get our hands on them. The hardest part for me is simply being exposed them, since there is so much to filter through!
It's easy to see why people say or write comments like yours. It's hard to keep up with the deluge, let alone be at the leading edge.
Musically speaking, I tried very hard for a long time to do this, even though music wasn't my profession. Due to my individual circumstances, I stopped "trying" around the end of the millennium. It became way too time consuming. It's a fantastically fun pursuit but time restraints and other priorities took center stage, so to speak. I was often the one introducing others to new bands or newly discovered material that "most" people hadn't been exposed to when it was newly released. Now I rely on others to help me out! |
