[Chips]

<<<i was surprised to see the following press release today. i thought USRX/COMS based all their modems on TXN chips... well, not any more. this new sourcing arrangement with ADI might presage COMS aligning with ADI for ADSL, or at least dual-sourcing. it would be a black eye for TXN; COMS is TXN's largest customer.>>>

First I've seen it. It's certainly not the first time someone's snagged ADI for chips. They're the only DMT ones available, aren't they?

I wouldn't over-extrapolate. TI and USR have been working together for a long time.
