I have had chance to analyze what system outputs are working well in 2013 and which ones are not. S1 the system that simply follows the trend is doing well, as it should in a trending market. S5 the bullishly biased system, is doing the best. Therefore it is pointless to continue to post other systems that are not doing well, so I will suspend posting S2, S3, S4, & S6, until market conditions become more normal. I have noticed in the past 15 years that markets have personalities....long slow uptrend.... violent downtrend.......choppy sideways with whipsaws......and combinations of these. These market personalities are usually the result or by-product of volatility. Each of the various program trade systems has its ideal niche for a particular personality type of the market. In 2013 so far, S1 & S5 have captured the market personality in this point in time. When volatility finally increases again, the other systems with become effective again, but for now I will stick with what's working best in this market environment. Open Positions: SPY Mar 152 puts B1: 1.45 (filled 02/19/2013) Closed: 1.40 ( -4% 02/20/2013) I threw in the towel on this S6 put trade and will only trade future put trades if they are from S1 or S5.
