cut every department by like 20%, close the dept of education (that's the states job) and there are probably 4-5 more depts that could be shut down.
I read an article a while ago about the dept of agriculture. at the turn of the century 1900 there was like 5 million farms and 1000 workers at the Dept, now there are like 300,000 farms (maybe less) and about 200,000 employees at the dept of agriculture , why ? Have you ever worked in the fed gov ? have you ever been in one of their offices ? I have at least 8 out of every ten workers are just standing around all day.
A neighbor up the street has a masters in Math, went to work for the gov. she sat for days begging for something to do, she finally gor a project, she did it in two hours and turned it in her boss said that was supposed to last for 2 weeks, everyone in the office looked at her like she was crazy. so now she had nothing to do for 2 weeks... she finally quit.
I did a ton on contract work for the gov. one dept I did work for had 8 workers usually only one did 'work' and the rest sat around. One day I go in and there are now 15 workers, still just one person doing anything. I ask there boss why the new people, he said he found out if he had 15 workers under him he got a big raise.
yeah there's no room to cut
