Eric, stupid straw man arguments aren't going to bring more people back into the fold.

Few people want to abolish the 2nd amendment. The Supreme Court already argued that the 2nd amendment guarantees an individual's right to own firearms, but that right is subject to regulations. The debate is over how much regulation is needed.

NRA-types go apes--t whenever ANY sort of regulation is proposed. Yes, ANY. That sort of extremism alienates the public.
