I could not have said it any better! The funny part is, as you also mentioned, when you recommend a stock and they start making money you dont hear from them very much and it is a non-event phenomenon and not a big deal. But when the stock you recommend starts going down - or not moving at all - you are constantly reminded of the pick!! And another thing they usually do not like to listen to the logic and fundamental reasons as why you recommend the stock! They just want someone to tell them what to buy and then when to sell!! That is why I have decided the next time a family member asks me for a stock pick, to draw them the map to the nearest supermarket selling the lottery tickets (Ca. lottery tickets)!!
