I for one don't buy it, of course the chains lead by the totally
above board WalMart model go after suppliers for the last penny.

It wasn't long ago that we didn't need to worry about stuff like
this, or maybe we were naive to the facts. But it seems the food
of today isn't the food from yesterday. Bread can sit on the shelves
for two weeks before turning moldy, and that's probably just the tip. -nfg-

Where you are I would try to stay as local as possible, here in Northbrook
a Chicago burb, it's nearly impossible.
