It wasn't mentioned but in this case I think what is more important is a potential area where organic 3d printing will work very well.

As the article pointed out cartilage has no vascular system. My understanding is its pretty monolithic therefor easy to print.

Plenty of people have problems with cartilage. How many hip and knee replacement are performed every year? A lot.

Seems to me that ONVO is headed for a systems (software based) where they will have proprietary knowledge on tissue printing. Maybe I'm wrong about that.
