That's great. You did your duty to your family. And you ought to be proud of not taking welfare though from a hippie or liberal standpoint you were a fool to do this. Your parents must have instilled a kernel of decency inside you the acid and liberal philosophy didn't burn out.

Of course, doing things like this don't make you special ... lots of people do things like this w/o ever talking about it. And I kinda recall, there was something mentioned once about a bath on a penny mining stock ... that might have been a contributing factor too ... but hey, at least you're working and not thinking you're too good to get out and sell tickytack boxes to materialists.

I am still working at 71 because I had to take care of my poor crippled mom for 20 years who had a complete nervous breakdown and became psychotic; and I put two children through many years of expensive university education.

And I never took a dime of welfare or food stamps for my mom which she qualified for. I paid for eveything myself.



We liberals take care of our responsibilities.

If only that were true. Too many don't even like the word responsibility.

I can point to an SI liberal who has said he hopes all his kids were "murdered" (his characterization of abortion) and who has bragged about his vacation trips to border whorehouses, his bikes and dope. Who's the better liberal (the one who better lives the liberal lifestyle), you or him? Or how about Toure, that MSNBC liberal you think so highly of - how come he "thanks God" for abortion when he got an old g/f pregnant - who is the better liberal, him or you?
