Note the "pros" are focused on "trading" and "price" as an indicator of relative value... comparing MCP to its price two years ago as if there is naturally an expectation there is going to be a return to that sort of froth in REE pricing, while the "cons" are focused on not having a clear picture about some pretty fundamental issues in the business ?

MCP was a primarily a "first mover advantage" play... and the bottom line is that now the market has changed, and the management blew the opportunity to make their first mover advantage be what mattered in the long term.

There's still plenty of reason to be "interested" in REE plays...

But, there's also plenty more opportunity, now, to be far more selective in finding "leverage" in niche opportunities with value focused management... that have avoided enabling the sorts of problems that MCP has now built in, and cannot possible avoid...

The current market just IS NOT the sort of frothy "get it now before it doubles tomorrow" sort of issue in trading that has you focused on chasing hot stocks in a hot market... and getting out before the bags trade hands...

Now it's a VALUE focused trade... a bottom fishers market... and that requires a VERY different approach from investors... including a different focus in evaluation of the value management brings to the table... or the risks they carry in focus that's not suited to the market requirements, which may well outweigh the value... including the value in access to capital... more when that capital may not be particularly "smart" money, the money is a risk amplification factor, and not a preferred solution to problems.
