Yup, Obama has a "rabble" to deal with. It sucks! Many are morons who shouldn't have ran for dog catcher let alone be running our country. But guess what - he doesn't get to draw again for a new set of congressmen. He is stuck dealing with this rabble. So he best get on with it and get creative, because the next bunch in two years could easily be worse yet. The easiest way IMO is to adopt Simpson/Bowles just as it is and challenge republicans to refute it. ............Another is to challenge republicans with no tax increases but to close loop holes. Make the cuts to farm subsidies and oil subsidies and let republicans try to back out of that. In Obamas defense, I suspect there is some of this going on behind the scenes. If we go to sequester though as many on both sides seem happy to do - we then just move on to the next climax with no real solution in place - lets get on with the hard reality of fixing this.
