Speaking of philosophically against why does the church not go after pedophiles in their ranks?Or is the church philosophically for children rapist?

Perhaps you should show some evidence that the catholic church is divesting itself of their hospitals first. I'm sure that you may be able to find one or two examples, but let's see some evidence of a trend.

The Catholic Church operates more hospitals than any other organization. They operate and subsidize more homes for people with special needs than any other organization. They operate more schools than any other organization and they don't discriminate based on religion (or anything else).

And as you point out, the catholic hierarchy handled the pedophiles in their ranks horribly. And they have actively changed their policies regarding pedophiles in their ranks. The handling of pedophiles in their ranks was pathetic and criminal. Not only the pedophiles, but the catholic authorities who protected them should have been (and should be) ousted from the church. The church's policy is indefensible.

But, it is not an indictment on the whole church and all catholics. As a whole, catholics do a tremendous amount of good in this world.

While you are at it, perhaps you can make the connection between catholic bashing and the market laboratory.
