Some here have watched ACTUAL naked shorting, and know what it looks like.
I haven't seen anything particularly suspect since Reg Sho, but..... now??....... I've been following an issue for two months, ONTY.
Capping, intimidation on the ask, pulsatile selling with no corresponding call buys, unlimited shares to sell, no insider disclosures or SC 13s from sellers, 100 share lots dribbled constantly to test the bid, three consecutive reports of decreased short position, etc.
That is, shorts are covering. Moreover, the only SC 13 filed was from a buyer. There is a bizarre variety of trades on obscure exchanges.
All of the characteristic signs are blatantly out there.
Shorts (recently about 20% of float) were crammed into a brief period between expected bad news (chart shows it, 12/19) and maturing results for a second product candidate (approximately end of March).
Might be Morgan Stanley who is distributing the shares, although that's only a hunch.
