It's all relative. Obama compared to the Republicans in congress. No comparison.

Also, and much more important, the poll, just a few days ago, that Ezra Klein wrote about--I think it was a WaPo poll--in which respondents were asked which parts of the budget they would cut. None received 50%. The majority of respondents wanted each item to continue, at least as is.

Cutting spending or cutting the budget only receives those scores in the abstract. But no one can govern in the abstract.
