Al, the last "budget crisis" resulted in higher taxes and very few spending cuts, if any.

If you want to talk about "negative stimulus" in the face of an economy regaining its footing, you should focus on how budget cuts and higher taxes will necessarily lead to another recession, because both will involve taking money out of the economy.
