I've never shouted at a hippie in my life. I witnessed as a young person idiots who thought taking drugs brought spiritual enlightenment, who thought the highest moral imperative was "if it feels good, do it," and who knew they were life's noblemen, the most enlightened people on earth. Many of those went through life ruining their own life, their girlfriends lives, their childrens lives ... and they've never grown up. They're people I've always shook my head at. What fools.

Just think a minute of the people in the iconic Wavy Gravy's (one of Kesey's Merry Pranksters) Hog Farm commune who took part in orgys with the 13 yo Diane Lake and gave her drugs and their permission to go off with the Manson family. Cautious Optimist, Rat, and Mars all believe those folks were morally superior to most of the people in this country ... who are rednecks, okies, virtual Nazis. Well, you know Diane Lake's story now. Let me ask you, can you acknowledge that what happened to her during childhood couldn't have been a secret unknown to the rest of Wavy Gravy's commune? Can you acknowledge that instead of being mankind's noble spirits, these people were just a bunch of moral degenerates? Or are you incapable of letting this story of a real life girl raised in the midst of the hippie subculture of the 60's affect your cast in concrete ideas?
