Die-hard conservatives right now are "white folks" and their numbers in relation to the general population is SHRINKING, not growing. How many grassroots "Tea Party" leaders do you know of that are Black, Hispanic or Asian? And I'm not talking about Rubio or Cruz. Those are guys that chose their sides when it looked like Republicanism was going to be the wave of the future and their heritage would give them a "leg up". Rubio seems to be making a BIG shift to the LEFT on immigration now, but it looks like too little too late. He'd have a HARD time in the primaries with this sudden change of his.
