OT A different kind of spam

My personal email address somehow made it on a list that circles the globe and I've had the same address for 15 years so I don't want to change it. I'm unsure how this happened because I don't surf porn or questionable sites. I have:
  • my email program set on the highest settings
  • a HUGE list of blocked addresses and domains
  • International blocks on everything outside the US

And I'm still getting hammered (20 per day or more) with phishers and spam. Maybe some of you have experience in dealing with this (I'm open to suggestions) but in the meantime I found a program called Cactus Spam Filter that seems to be helping a little.

Most of the spam comes from India (based on IP address). My international settings should block it but it doesn't.

At this point I'd be fine if Pakistan decided to nuke New Delhi and Bombay.

It's really frustrating!
