Thanks Tim -

I don't mind posting them...others can learn from
my mistakes and hopefully save money. I'm currently
holding ASND, AMAT, SEG, INDV (and some DTOP). I had
been holding also COMS, WDC but sold them (at a small
profit) to meet margin calls on the others (mainly ASND).

My mistake was that I became too overweighted in a
few areas, and my timing (which had always been pretty
good) was really lousy this year (I'd buy, a stock would
go down, I'd sell (or sell short) and it would go up).

But my biggest mistake was with a company called
ANCOR Communications (ANCR) which I held most of last
year through Feb of this year. I was horribly overweighted
in that stock and it lost a major contract and tanked. I
held on as long as I could, then finally sold and put my
money in ASND (figuring it was down around 40 from 80 -
good chance to get back some $$). Well, you know the
rest. I've ridden it from about 40 down to 20ish. So
that's my horribly sad story and why I've stopped
looking. I've always regarded the market as more of
a hobby however this year has been way too stressful
(luckily my retirement money is tucked away in 401k's -
mostly stock mutual funds, that I don't even touch. And
those are doing quite well this year...)

So that's my story. Hindsight is a wonderous thing, eh?

cheers,

-ac
