Celeryroot, Eventually, every trade has a buyer and a seller. Sometimes MMs use inventory. If there is a 5K buy at 13 13/16, then a MM may be willing to pay 13 13/16 to build back the inventory. Alternatively, there may be more buyers lined up and the bid price was raised to 13 13/16 to attract more sellers. Since the bid size is again at 5000 (at 13 13/16), there doesn't seem to be a shortage of buyers. In any event, that "13 3/4 ceiling" seems to have some holes in it since the ask is now at $14 and the bid is 13 13/16.
