Excerp from FCP release of Dec 2, 1997: It is anticipated that drilling operations on Bazma 1 will start in January 1998 utilizing the rig currently drilling a deep wildcat well on the Company's Sud Nefta Permit about 165 km west of the planned Bazma 1 well. The Sud Nefta well is presently at a depth of 3765 meters and logging prior to running intermediate casing. Drilling operations are expected to resume in about 10 days time and the well will then be taken to the planned total depth of 4380 meters.
