Fear and dread is necessary to exert control in the biblical sense. Most Christ Clubbers have not experienced this first hand because they don't have faith in their statements or the courage of their convictions. Greg Almighty has had the occasional night sweat but this is derived from his conscience and due to his constant slander.
You don't find the following stuff in the Old Testament.
Buddha said:
The whole secret of existence is to have no fear. Never fear what will become of you, depend on no one. Only the moment you reject all help are you freed.
Believe nothing, no matter where you read it, or who said it, no matter if I have said it, unless it agrees with your own reason and your own common sense.
It is better to conquer yourself than to win a thousand battles. Then the victory is yours. It cannot be taken from you, not by angels or by demons, heaven or hell.
No one saves us but ourselves. No one can and no one may.
Work out your own salvation. Do not depend on others.
