On this thread, I have been a silent learner. [But a technology-side poster in a few technology-related threads]. I for one sure wish you wouldn't bail.

I too have trouble with the volatility of some folks evident in some of the postings around the site, 'cuz I don't know why that kind of personal content is necessary, 'cuz they really waste bandwidth, and cost me time to even scan them. Worse yet, they do depart from the powerful and meaningful exchange of topical information. On the other hand, those actions are self-diminishing. And if they don't get a response, they'll probably lose interest. (Good heavens! I sound like my parents!)

I, for another, certainly wish you would continue to stay with the core contributors on this thread. This is admittedly an absolutely self-serving wish! But following your posts and comments, along with Joe and AT and LS and so many others has been really helpful for me [a pretty rank 58-year old novice!:-)]. The core traffic on this thread has also one instantiation of one of the web's best attributes (when practiced as it has been here), its generosity.

In any case, my thanks for letting me audit the class! And thanks too to all you other regulars who stick to the benevolent work at hand!! JimA
