"Doctors blow the whistle on wind turbines" I was driving toward San Bernadino a few years back and we passed turbine after turbine. I don't know about the health research, but they really are an eyesore! As far as Science needing to sometimes take steps backward--well...that is precisely how it moves forward. I remember about 50 years ago our Government was all gung-ho promoting sellers of Urea-Formeldehyde foam insulation. That is, until it was discovered to be a respiratory hazard and in some cases carcinogenic. Other than that...a fantastic product. It is a long and winding road but capitalism will always look for a better way and Science is the hand maiden of Capitalism. Build a better mousetrap and find a need and fill it...
