You're right people could lose all their photos and wouldn't want to ....so:-

1. New d-cameras will offer much better resolution. There is no reason to believe that after 100 years the limits imposed by chemical film processes won't go through a quantum leap and thus give an image with a resolution that just isn't available today. And all the other gadgetry will follow along...photo quality printers, paper, enhancement and ....what about a small gadget that allows you to download your days shots and keep it in your hotel safe so that if your camera is lost ( insurance covers) your photos are all safe.

2. Why are we all concentrating on cameras? By far the biggest use of these mini f-disks are going to be music, answerphone, and other mobile voice/telephone/fax devices.
