Oh gee, what a bunch of woosies! Can't even make it interesting and up the offer price by a little bit! Looks like Alamos got called on their predation move? Why can't they be men about it and up the offer rather than whining and taking shots? Silly - speaks volumes to me as to Alamos management.

Wonder if Alamos will adopt the "all-in" cost accounting methods? They might not look so wonderful under those terms.

Jubak's piece is more confirmation of the changing tide. Me thinks the light is gunna start shining on all of those projects that really are low grade, i.e. <1 gpt.

60-day MA of the POG at the end of the year was in the 1715 range, now in 1Q2013 we are looking at a 60-day MA of 1657. That is giving up $58 of revenue per ounce for this sector. Sure gunna make some of the marginal operators pinched on cash flow. 1Q results due out in April-May are going to be interesting. Maybe a few more headed to the equity markets for cash? Project cut backs?

Place yer bets, spin the wheel!
