Mr Smart...there is always a hope for a miracle, but to date, anyone following your advice has lost money...anyone following VK has made money.
Even if Novell does manage to turn things around, it will likely be some time before they re-establish the confidence of wall street. Novell has always had the better products, always won the majority of reader choice awards and lab tests yet the stock always goes down.
Green River was going to be the magic answer. If you've followed the stock long enough, you know what happened. You think it's going to be different this time...maybe it will, maybe it won't. Based on history the company is in big trouble.
Everyone seems to think there's new management, yet the guy really running the show, is the guy that took a bad situation and made it much worse. As Joe says, every board member replaced is probably worth a couple of points. Until this happens, or some explanation is offered for their odd behaviour and confused priorities, I wouldn't expect much upside, regardless of any product release. It's going to take many profitable quarters before anyone in the know believes it.
