The difference between recycling what is currently in the biosphere, and desequestering fossil carbon and releasing an additional load is a distinction obvious to 5 year olds, but beyond the comprehension of most conservatives. The few who do understand are climate scientists. The rest say things like "why don't you quit breathing?"

You know what would happen if the entire world said they would send out every craft available to spread iron on the ocean? You'd find something else to cry about; if nothing else, the fact that you couldn't go sailing, and your tax money was being wasted, and you can't find any iron filings for your magnet, and, even if you could, you could no longer afford to buy a vial, which is so rare it costs more than gold. It's the way of the denialists.
