Who knows... just speculating that with everything so beat up Goldcorp may be more likely to go after some entity that will add something to the bottom line immediately rather than scooping up an entity that is going to take a lot of capex with returns on that capex years down the road.... who knows... it often very surprising at who gets bought out and who doesn't... Wonder just how much redemptions Paulson's fund faced.. sounds like he is hanging in there... but can't find a number on what the redemptions were ??? Paulson's Gold Fund Limps Forward cnbc.com
