Pure speculation on my part but I do wonder if the iPhone 5S will have a gyro based OIS.

I want to believe that this would become standard for all of the phone cameras. I read on the Qualcomm board that they spent a significant software effort on removing red-eye and other optical phenomena. Image stabilization should be a major marketing benefit.

For anyone else reading this, optical image stabilization was one of the first applications for InvenSense's gyros.
