>> Protecting the country from windmills is a goober function to be kind...it is criminally negligent to be more accurate. See, wasting the money is bad to be sure...wringing a whole lot of hurt on the people involved is a whole other level of negligence.
So, is it your feeling that Bill and Hillary were criminally negligent? They did, after all, support both wars. What about Feinstein and Jay Rockefeller and Sandy Berger? Albright? Howard Dean? JOE BIDEN?
This is a question you people dodge and weave around year after year. When your OWN leadership supported the war -- until it became difficult, at which time they became total and utter hypocrites?
How is George Bush a "criminal" while Joe Biden isn't? Isn't your claim on this the height of hypocrisy itself?
>> I have not yet understood why it is that, when unemployment jumps from 5% to 10% (just to mention an example), folks like you come to the conclusion that a whole bunch of folks suddenly decided to become "bums"..
I probably have a different take on this than you do, because I've been self-employed all my life. When sales slow down, the paychecks stop coming. But I have no unemployment benefits, my bills go on, and we now have a government that expects me to pay not only for my expensive health care but for that of others. I don't have IBM to take care of me and I don't have a fat pension plan funded by someone else. I don't have a fat inheritance, either. I have what I can accumulate in my lifetime, and the government wants more of it. I have a problem with that to enable lazy assed people to have a permanent vacation for the rest of their lives.
To make matters 10x worse, I it is obvious that my kids will never have the opportunity I had, because liberals have literally stolen their futures from them.
I don't give a big shit about other people until I know my own family is secure. |
