Well, as always, there's more than meets the eye ! As both Venezuela and Iran are oil-producing countries, and as Chavez and Ahmadinejad dedicated themselves against western imperialism, it should not surprise anyone they were very wellsy-palsy. To be sure, they needed one another to strengthen themselves politically and to strengthen their countries economically. As the saying goes: There is safety in numbers..... I believe any comments and/or links suggesting that Middle Easterners (Iranians) learn Spanish so they could infiltrate into the US to engage in nefarious activities are probably fear-mongering propaganda for the sole purpose of garnering support for the fraudulent War on Terror in general and undeclared war against Iran in particular. Verily, don't take no wooden nickels !
