This is a hilarious story about a train project. Started in 1929. A project so long, so drawn out, they had to shitcan the original subway cars because they wouldn't fit the track that is used today. The original cars had black lights to kill polio virus. If finished on its current schedule, the project will have taken EIGHTY YEARS. Interesting reading. en.wikipedia.org
