Then, weren't you required to work a minimum amount of time before becoming eligible for benefits???? Some states, from what I see, require you to earn a base salary of a certain amount, eg $3500, to become eligible...

I worked there for almost a year. It was an international mining company and the pay was great. I was a dozer operator when I left.

You didn't have to sign up every week in person to collect benefits which would make collecting in Oregon kinda difficult....??

The check came in the mail every week. I was required to contact at least two employers per week seeking employment. Unemployment in Southern Oregon is very high, especially when the lumber industry is down. Make a couple of insincere calls and put the name of the company on my report.

I think the mine's input would only matter if they said they laid you off or fired you..

They could have argued that my complaint had no merit, which worried me. I missed Oregon and just wanted my move back to be funded.

You had a job. But you're probably correct in assuming they were happy to get you out of their hair and said they dumped you.

I blamed them, they changed the conditions. I asked to be put on full time days (which no other mine worker got), then claimed I couldn't work there anymore and it was "No fault of my own." That's the complaint and I could've made a similar one at just about any job.

It took me a while to learn to love productive work but I do now and regularly say so.
