Sit coms. Unlike most artsy people I love TV. Particularly sit coms. I think the format is perfect for long term character development. NewsRadio - sort of an unknown - if you like absurdist humor this is a great one - great ensemble cast of 8 characters - tons of insider jokes Hollywood actors knew it, lots of them wanted to be guests en.wikipedia.org Cast members of particular note. Stephen Root - one of the funniest guys in Hollywood, insiders in Hollywood know Phil Hartman - no exp needed Maura Tierney - wasted on that hospital shoe - great comedic actress should have worked in the 40s Joe Rogan - a great loudmouthed stand up comedian - a comedians comedian Great writing - especially seasons 1, 2 & 3 Curb Your Enthusiasm - the most ingenious comedy ever made IMHO Because of language don't even try to watch this on the networks.
