On the contrary, the market values the PUDS and producing assets in the North Sea at approx. 100 million dollars gross (60 million net to the second lien). It currently assigns a post-DIP-payback value of zero to the GOM assets. Expectations of a Clipper bounce among the perennially optimistic and recklessly adventurous are causing (surprise, surprise) a Clipper bounce. Six months ago I had tentative plans to buy the bonds at this point, but a lot has happened in the meantime and none of it has been positive. There is no easy money to be made here. That's why almost everyone has fucked off.
