The taunt is too much Jack <you need to reduce population drastically by some means.. (non starter) .. Imagine Africa.. which you know.. so many folks.. modernization means.. they are not needed.. if ever they get serious and throw off tribal and VVV legacy .. they may work out.. > You make the common mistake of thinking it's YOU who decides who is "needed" and who is not. People are needed for their own purposes, not for some other party. If a mother has a baby in Africa, she and the father will decide whether it is "needed" or not, not you or some other party unless they are barbarians.

Modernization does not mean Africans are not "needed". It means, as in places such as where you live, they would be free to write absurd things in Cyberspace using Globalstar, Qualcomm and El Matador's fibre, while the machinery plants and harvests crops.

Tribal legacy is just modern socialism writ small, with the bosses taking the money and bossing other people around. Tribalism could do with a dose of tradable citizenship, as could we. Then people could swap tribes without losing their share of communal assets.

Then you really go off the rails into barbarism suggesting that Africans give up on legacy common law, individual property rights, capitalism, freedom, self-determination, honesty, co-operation, Protestant work ethic, science, reason and the other wonders of the Virtuous Victorian Values era, and that they adhere to the seven cardinal sins rather than avoiding them.

They tried your suggestion after choosing independence from the British Empire. It didn't work out very well at all. It's surprising that you think more of the same will help them.
