The 6+ million shares of float that the thread has been talking about are the estimated number of "free trading" shares or those shares not held by insiders. It is an imprecise figure and doesn't relate to the technical calculation of all shares not restricted by SEC rules which yields the 24 million figure. The 6 million probably approximates the "real" figure unless insiders start selling.
