I hope this helps....I had never heard the term as it applied to an active mm in a stock. I called Mark, one of the desk traders at Smith Barney. He had stated that they had recently dropped coverage of the stock, LSCC. After speaking with him and looking at a few other possibilities, we tenatively concluded that "non-registered" must indicate that they, as of the time the report was run, were no longer a listed mm in the stock ,but thatthey had had volume during the period and so were listed 40. hope it helps. just goes to prove, you hope to learn something each and every day.
