Transgenomic, Inc. is seeking a Molecular Diagnostic Sales Consultant to manage the Northeast Sales Territory - New York (excluding Buffalo and Rochester) to Maine, with occasional travel to Quebec, New Brunswick, and Nova Scotia.
Position Requirements:
•Manage and prospect a defined territory to increase the company’s product penetration by establishing new clients and sustain relationships with existing customers to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty.
•Develop a sales pipeline by educating clinicians on the benefits of the company’s laboratory offerings, determine customer needs and requirements, and make recommendations to both prospects and customers of the various solutions offered.
•Work with sales management to develop strategic territory business plans for achievement of sales growth and quota attainment.
•Work in conjunction with sales management team providing proposals and implementing sales strategies to achieve sales growth.
•Build and sustain relationships with customers and ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty.
•Perform a variety of miscellaneous tasks as requested by management to ensure business and customer needs are met.
Education/Experience
•Bachelor’s degree required and 5 years of genetics, child neurology, pharmaceutical, biotechnology or medical testing industry sales experience is preferred.
•Experience selling genetic, diagnostic tests is highly desirable
•Experience selling prescription pharmaceuticals or testing products in the neurology arena is highly desirable

•Valid drivers license
•Ability to travel which may require overnight and occasional weekend travel up to 70% of the time.
